Fruita Schoolhouse

The Fruita Schoolhouse was constructed circa 1896 and was used until 1941 when it was shut down due to lack of students. The building is now on the National Register of Historic Places.

Trip Report: April 30, 2011

We stopped at the historic Fruita Schoolhouse in Capitol Reef National Park on our way to Hickman Bridge.

A large rock outside the schoolhouse is carved with "Fruita Grade School" as well as several names.
