Hype:

St. Matthew's Cathedral was constructed in 1913. It is 155 feet long and 136 feet wide and is shaped like a Latin cross when viewed from above. Total seating capacity is 2,200. The structure is Romanesque with Byzantine elements. The interior is richly decorated in marble and semiprecious stones, notably a 35-foot mosaic of Matthew. The cathedral is officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
