Overview

Hype:

Grant Campground is located near the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake in Yellowstone National Park. The campground is in the middle of a grove of pine trees, which provides shade, beauty, and some privacy. Grant Campground is very close to West Thumb Geyser Basin and a short drive from Upper Geyser Basin and Old Faithful.

Grant Campground is open from June to September. There are 430 sites, campfire rings, picnic tables, flush toilets, and pay showers and laundry. Fire wood is available at the campground check-in building for an exhorbitant price, so bring wood from home if you can. As with all campgrounds in Yellowstone, bears are always a problem. Keep food and smelly items out of your tents, and dispose of all trash properly.
