Hype:
Chimney Rock Pass is a dirt road in Utah's west desert to the west of Utah lake. It is named after a solitary hill that bears a resemblance to the Chimney Rock in North Carolina. There are several spots to camp along Chimney Rock Pass. Basically you can pictch a tent anywhere you want to. One spot that we really like is just west of Chimney Rock. This camp site is close to Little Moab, Nutty Putty Cave, and the Pink Lime Pit. There are hundreds of 4-wheeler trails in the area, including some fun rock obstacles inside this camping area. If you're up for a quick hike, scramble up Chimney Rock for a great view of the surrounding area.
