Hype:
Burn Bright was Mapleton, Utah’s annual New Year celebration centered around a community Christmas tree bonfire. Held on January 17, 2025 at the Mapleton City Office, the event invited residents to symbolically let go of old habits by writing them down and placing them in a burn box, which was then added to the bonfire fueled by over 100 recycled Christmas trees. The evening featured live music from a DJ, s’mores, food trucks, and family-friendly activities like Gaga ball, creating a festive atmosphere that inspired personal growth and community connection at the start of the new year.

After dinner, we dropped off Cooper to play with Killian then met up with my parents in Mapleton to attend Burn Bright, which is an annual party hosted by the Mapleton fire department where they burn about 100 Christmas trees in a giant bonfire. That was a lot of fun to watch. Then we went to our house and played Pinochle with my parents. We picked up Cooper around 9:00.
