Hype:
The River History Musem was closed when we went, but we stopped and looked through the outdoor displays and read about John Welsey Powell and other early explorers.

I've been to Green River at least a dozen times, but it's usually either really early in the morning or late in the evening. I had to be in Green River for a work meeting in the afternoon, and we were going canyoneering later that evening, so I visited the River History Museum while waiting to meet up with the rest of the group. The museum was a little smaller than I expected, but it was well done and interesting. I wandered the gift shop and bought a souvenir magnet for the museum as well as a couple for the Swell and other nearby areas we've been to.
