Hype:
Gandy Warm Springs are a series of springs near Gandy, Utah. The water is around 80 degrees. The lower springs emerge from a fern-lined, mostly submerged cave called Beware Cave. The flow is quite high and the water current coming out of the cave is fairly fast. On March 23, 2004 a man drowned in the cave, so don't do anything stupid.
The upper springs are just up the hill to the north. There is also a small cave at the upper springs that the water flows out of, but it is really rocky and uncomfortable. Someone built a dam to contain the water, and when we went there was a lawn chair in the pool.
Gandy Warm Springs are located about an hour and a half from Great Basin National Park. Most of that driving is on gravel roads that are well maintained. However, the last mile is on rough dirt roads. A passenger car can probably make it if you drive carefully. Parking is immediately adjacent to the lower springs.
