Story

We biked the Provo River Parkway Trail with the Parkers on the Fourth of July. We met at Vivian Park and unloaded all the bikes, then we shuttled the truck down to Riverview Park because we weren't sure if the younger kids could bike all the way down to the Lake. We stopped for a rest and some snacks at Riverview Park, and I stayed at the park with Aria, Lilian, and Cooper while the others continued down the trail. We played a game where we balanced on the concrete curbing around the playground and timed how long it took to make it all the way around. A short while later, Madi ran into a construction sign on the side of the trail and cut her finger. I loaded the kids in the truck then picked up Madi and we went to North Park to play around on the playground while we waited for the others to finish the rest of their bike ride. The kids were getting hungry and a bit cranky, but we didn't want to leave until Tara called us to tell us that they were approaching Utah Lake because we didn't want to wait at the lake with nothing to do. Well, somehow we got our wires crossed because Tara didn't call us until after they were done with their bike ride and Shaun had already picked up their bikes and they were driving home. Shaun was in the area because he was working the Provo parade route. I was waiting to help with the shuttle, and I could have gone straight home and fed the hungry kids if I had known they didn't need us. One other eventful thing happened during the last leg of the bike ride. Savannah wasn't paying attention to where she was going, and she ran straight into a pole that was in the middle of the trail.
