Story

Madi and I had originally planned to go ice skating for our date, but she wasn't feeling it. Instead she wanted to do some exercise outside. She thought it would be funny to have me ride her rollerblades around, so that's what she requested. She rode on her scooter. Originally we were going to just ride around the urban forest loop, but we decided to go for a half hour up the trail instead. After a half hour, we had gone almost as far as her record distance, and she wanted to keep going, so we ended up riding all the way to the golf course. By that point it was dark, so we called up Tara and asked her to come pick us up.

In the evening, Tara and the kids went on a bike ride on the river trail. I didn't go with them because I wanted to finish disassembling the canoe trailer.

After church, we took a bike ride down the river trail to scope out potential geocache hiding spots for our upcoming ward activity. That took a little over an hour.

Jeremy Dye,

Logistics

Flow Rate: 875 (Spanish Fork at Castilla, UT)

Start Kayaking: 4:15 at Golf Course

End Kayaking: 5:15 at Urban Forest

Story

I floated the Spanish Fork River by myself. I drove up to the golf course, carried my kayak along the River Trail to the river, floated the river down to the Urban Forest, carried my kayak home, hopped on my bike and biked the River Trail up to the golf course, and then drove home.

The Spanish Fork River was extremely high. It was flooding sections of the River Trail, and the current was very swift. I got knocked off my kayak 3 times from trees in the river. It was definitly too swift for me to do solo safely, but everything worked out. The biggest rapids were about 2 feet high.

Story

We biked the River Trail from our house to 1100 East. My bike wasn't working, so I rode a scooter. But Madi got too tired, so she hopped in Anthony's bike trailer with Miller. We folded up the scooter and put it on the bike trailer, and I rode Madi's bike for several miles. That night and the next day, my legs were pretty stiff.

Story

Tara, kids, and extended family biked the Spanish Fork River Trail from our house about 3 miles up then turned around and biked back. The kids rode their own bikes to Main Street, then the adults toted them the rest of the way in bike trailers. They all had a blast.
