Count Down

We did the Count Down room. They had some really fun theming and decent puzzles. The puzzles were very high quality and high tech, but I felt like there were a few that weren't as well-designed as they could have been. The player experience was more frustrating and less fun than I would have liked. We got stuck on a puzzle. We thought it was complete, so we moved on, but it turns out we made a small mistake and didn't realize it. This led us down a path of extreme frustration where we felt like the room failed us rather than us failing the room. I think if the game master had been more focused on the player experience rather than their no-contact-unless-requested policy, it would have been more enjoyable.

Safari Mobile Escape Room

I played the Safari mobile escape room at FearCon along with 5 or 6 others. It was 20 minutes long and definitely the best escape room there. Their puzzles were fun, and the theming was top notch. The only thing I didn't like was that the game master was a little too helpful, but I suppose that's probably due to them having to coach a lot of groups that haven't ever done an escape room before. We are definitly wanting to drive up to visit their brick-and-mortar escape room sometime soon.
