Hype:
Roots of Knowledge is a panoramic stained glass exhibit of history and human drama. The intricate details incorporated into every window represent years of painstaking research on the events and people that shaped humankind from the days of wooly mammoths and cavemen to the iPhone.

For family home evening, we visited the Roots of Knowledge stained glass display at UVU. When I first entered the room, I thought it was a mistake to spend most of an evening in one room looking at a few windows, but as we looked at the panes in more detail and read more of the back story behind each of the scenes or characters depicted, it was actually quite engaging. We played I Spy and also tried to figure out the different characters, architecture, and objects. The adults outlasted the kids, and the last third went rather quickly as we exhausted the kids' attention spans.
