Low-poly papercraft, or Pepakura, is a modern technique where 3D digital models are "unfolded" into 2D templates. Unlike traditional origami, it uses heavy cardstock, precise cutting, and numbered tabs to glue geometric facets into a sturdy, hollow sculpture. It is a popular way to create stylized home decor and complex cosplay armor through a meditative process of scoring and assembly.
