For the 2009 White Family Reunion, we went to the Dye cabin in Scofield, UT. Tara and I weren't able to join them until Thursday night.
On Wednesday, everyone had fun around the fire.
They also did the cousin gift exchange "Christmas in July".
On Thursday, everyone helped with a service project. They made tiles for the Springville Art Museum.
Then they went and played in the lake.
We arrived for the tail end of Leslie's presentation on family history. She prepared a fun game of Jeopardy to go with it.
By the end of the day everyone was tired that no one stayed up late playing games.
Friday morning started early because we slept on the main room floor. I kept the little cousins busy by wrestling up to six of them at a time. They were climbing all over me, but I kept it fun by body slamming them on the couch or mattress.
After breakfast, we chopped a heck-of-a lot of wood (the pile is 25 feet long and about 7 feet high in places).
When we finished with the woodpile, we went crawdad fishing down at the dam. It was pretty fun. We managed to catch a total of 65 crawdads.
We then had a cooking competition for dinner and we had to use the crawdads in it. It was actually pretty good.
That night we watched The Three Amigos on our projector that we recently bought off eBay. Almost everyone ended up falling asleep. What a bunch of night-owls.
Saturday, Tara and I were in charge of breakfast. We expected to be woken up in the morning, but we weren't, so we slept in. Oh, well. It was a leftover extraveganza and a fix-your-own-meal type of breakfast. We then spent a good amount of time cleaning up the cabin. We then finished a puzzle that needed to be completed (the second one for the reunion) and then headed home.
