There is one tiny spot along the edge of the road where there is enough room to pitch a couple of tents. The ground is rough, but the views are excellent.

Story

For the 4th of July, we all camped up Monroe Canyon then rafted and canoed the Sevier River in Marysvale Canyon. We finished the weekend with a picnic at Monrovian Park.

On our way up to camp, we dropped the canoe trailer off part way up the canyon in case we had to turn around. That turned out to be very helpful because Ondy and Jaren got stuck a couple of times and had to be towed up the steep parts because they didn't have four-wheel drive. We all made it to camp in more-or-less one piece and set up camp. Anthony and Ari arrived a short time later. We fixed dinner, watched the sunset, played cards, and talked until nightfall.

The next day, we left Ondy and Jaren's car at camp so we didn't have to make them drive up twice. After rafting and canoeing, we returned to camp for dinner and social time. On Saturday, we took it easy at camp until almost lunch time. The kids built a stick fort and we took it slow.
