The Box Canyon Falls Trail in Box Canon Park, Ouray, Colorado, is a short yet thrilling adventure showcasing the power and beauty of Canyon Creek as it cascades through a narrow quartzite canyon. The trail features a series of metal walkways and stairs, leading visitors to a platform where they can experience the roaring falls up close and feel the mist in the air. This easy hike also includes interpretive signs about the area's geology, wildlife, and history, enhancing the experience. The trail is family-friendly and offers incredible photo opportunities.
Trail Condition: Class 1 (Trail is either paved or gravel. Navigation skills are not needed because there is only one trail or because there are signs. Elevation gains are gradual or there are stairs.)

We played Pinochle in the morning. Then everyone got ready and we went to Box Canyon, where we did all the hikes and trails. I was very impressed that Dad was enthusiastic about doing the hikes. A year ago before he lost all the weight that he has lost, he would not have been nearly as interested.
