Locking off an ATC
Description
There is just one way to lock off an
ATC
.
Mule Hitch Method
Stop your descent.
Feed a bight of rope through the carabiner.
Tie a Mule Hitch above the ATC.
Slowly release the brake strand until the Mule Hitch slides down against the ATC and halts your descent.
