Hype:
The Ajo Visitor Center is located in the historic train depot at the northeast end of the Ajo Plaza. The train depot was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The visitor center has a small gift shop, flyers for nearby attractions, and friendly people to make suggestions.

We stopped at the Ajo Visitor Center and bought a magnet and asked if they knew when the Ajo Historical Society Museum was open. The man was friendly and gave us a brief history of Ajo.
