Overview

Hype:

Redwood Creek Beach is located at the mouth of Redwood Creek about two miles south of the town of Orick in northern Humboldt County. This day-use picnic area is part of Redwood National Park and has a large parking area, clean facilities, and access to a sandy driftwood-covered beach. The National Park’s Thomas H. Kuchel Visitor Center is adjacent to the picnic area. It has information on destinations and activities throughout the area and interesting exhibits on display. Redwood Creek Beach is a great spot to stop and enjoy when passing through this section of Highway 101.

Story

After hiking through Fern Canyon and stopping at the visitor center, we stopped and ate lunch at Redwood Creek Picnic Area. The beach had a surf warning, so we didn't go down to the water.
