Jeremy Dye, Tara Dye, Savannah Dye,
We caught a shuttle bus and drove up to Te Pa Tu, which was formerly called Tamaki Maori Village. They're still going through some rebranding and go by both names. We really liked the presentation and they had a Haka welcome followed by some food sampling and stick throwing games and native plant remedy presentation.
Then we went to their theater room, where they performed a bunch of songs and dances. They did an amazing job and it was highly entertaining.
After that, we proceeded to their dining hall and had a 20 course dinner with sampling of a whole bunch of dishes.
We rounded out the evening with a few more songs and then got on the bus to go back to our hotel. On the bus ride back, the bus driver tried to get us to do karaoke, but it was mostly just him singing random songs and other people not really knowing what they were singing. At one of the big roundabouts, the bus driver went around several times while singing She'll Be Coming 'Round The Mountain. It was quite humorous. We got back to our hotel at a little bit after 10:00 and went straight to bed.
