Jacob chose to go to Busch Gardens for his birthday. All 3 of our kids were too short to ride the major roller coasters, but Madi was close enough that she could get on anyway. Shaun took Savannah, Cooper, Leah, and Mary through the kid area. Missy, Jacob, Kylie, Kate, Tara, Madi, and I rode most of the big roller coasters together. George, Shauna, and Sara did their own thing. We joined up for lunch and did the Safari ride together and a few other attractions.
Shortly after lunch, we tried to get Savannah on one of the larger roller coasters. We got both girls past the initial height checks and into the roller coaster seats. But then one of the ride attendants pulled Madi off to double check her height. She even went so far as to pull out a speed square to measure her against the pole. Madi had to wait at the exit while the rest of us rode the coaster. Savannah got to stay on because she was sitting up taller than Madi when the ride attendant looked at her. Madi was devastated. She was just bawling when we got off the ride.
They had to close the park about an hour early due to thunderstorms.
