Personal Anchor System

Description

A personal anchor system is a chain of sewn loops. The most famous brand is the Sterling Chain Reactor, but there are several other similar products. One end attaches to your harness and you can clip the other end or any middle loop to anything.

Personal anchor systems can be used for a lot of things including:

• Clipping into an anchor when getting on rappel.
• Extending your rappel device.
• Hanging your pack below you while rappelling.
• Using as a handline.
• Rappelling tandem with children.
• Etc.
