Hype:
The Birth of the New World (Spanish: Nacimiento del Nuevo Mundo, colloquially known as Columbus' Statue) is a 360 foot bronze sculpture located on the Atlantic coastline of Arecibo, Puerto Rico. When completed in 2016, it became the tallest sculpture in the Western Hemisphere and the fourth tallest worldwide. After being imported to Puerto Rico, there were plans for it to be erected in Cataño. After being moved to Mayagüez and facing further delays, Birth of the New World was assembled at its current location.

On Thursday morning, we packed up our stuff and went down the road to a giant statue of Christopher Columbus. It's the tallest statue in the western hemisphere. It was hard to get to because it was all fenced off, but we got some pictures from the road.
