Constructed in 1521, the Catedral Basílica Metropolitana de San Juan Bautista (Metropolitan Cathedral Basilica of Saint John the Baptist) is the Catholic cathedral for the Archdiocese of San Juan de Puerto Rico. It is one of the oldest buildings in Old San Juan, the oldest cathedral in the United States, and the second-oldest cathedral in the Americas.

We spent the afternoon in Old San Juan. We walked through the Castillo San Cristobal and then did some souvenir shopping. The castle was very interesting and was fun to explore.
