Story

After picking up our rental car, we drove west to the Everglades and signed up for an airboat tour. We had a couple hours until that started, so we drove to the Shark Valley Visitor Center to pass the time. It ended up being too busy and there was a line to enter the park, so we went to Big Cyprus National Preserve instead. It was a bit of a drive, but Madi didn't mind because it gave her more time to listen to her audiobook (Ranger's Apprentice). We did their boardwalk hike and saw several alligators and birds and fish. Then we drove back for our airboat tour. The airboat tour was super fun, and we enjoyed it a lot. We saw six or seven alligators and some other wildlife and had a really fun guide. 

After the airboat tour, we went back to the Shark Valley Visitor Center. The only trail they had in the area was a 7-mile bicycle loop. We didn't want to rent bicycles, and Madi wasn't up for a super long hike, so we just did the quarter-mile boardwalk loop. We saw several alligators and really enjoyed that walk. I took some videos of swamp stuff for the escape room while we were there.
