Overview

Hype:

The Cub Creek petroglyph panels feature a variety of typical Fremont designs including several large lizard figures, which are not common at other sites. The site has two trails: an easy walk to a panel with a variety of designs, approximately 50 feet from parking area; and a moderately strenuous hike on 1/4 mile trail to lizard figures (lizard figures can be seen with binoculars from parking area).

Trail Condition: Class 3 (Trail may have sections where hands are needed. Trail may not be visible in spots or may not exist at all.)

Time: 30-60 minutes

Length: 0.5 miles round trip

Elevation Gain: 200 ft

Story

Most of the group was all hiked-out or petroglyphed-out, so the 5 of us took a quick hike up to the cliff face and searched around for the petroglyphs. A social trail continued well past the last petroglyph panel, so we ended up hiking a lot further than we needed to.
