Overview

Hype:

Uintah County Heritage Museum features displays of individuals and groups of people, who for many reasons traveled into the Uinta Basin and some decided to stay. It is a story of strength and change. Come in and explore the journey of the men and women who made this high mountain desert their home. We share stories of outlaws and lawmen, the Utes (some of who were forced to live here), entrepreneurs  who chose to come and build a community that has prospered, those who found financial success by tapping into the basin's natural resources, and the ranchers and homesteaders who divided up the land.

Story

We visited the Uintah County Heritage Museum on the first day of the Dye family reunion in Vernal. The kids received a laminated search card, and they found all the objects so they could get a sucker prize.
