Hype:
Leeds Canyon has 11 designated dispersed camping sites that are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Dispersed camping is the term used to describe camping anywhere in the National Forest outside of a designated camping area. As such, there are no amenities other than fire rings and a place to stop and rest.

Jeremy Dye, Tara Dye, Ondylyn Wagner,
We camped at site 6 before doing Boltergeist Canyon the next day. The canyon is very pretty with rock formations and a vibrant high desert ecosystem. You can take a quick walk down to the river if you want.
As we were getting ready for bed, my lower esophagus started to hurt really bad. It was really weird. I thought it was triggered by lying down, so I tried to sleep in the van instead, but that didn't work at all. It was so painful, that I took a walk down the road by moonlight for about half an hour to get my mind off of it. I took some Tylenol and was finally able to fall asleep. Weird.
