Overview

Hype:

At the bottom of Fence Canyon, there are a couple of petroglyphs, some gringoglyphs, a building foundation, and a hitching post. The petroglyphs appear to be Fremont style with bighorn sheet and a sun symbol. These petroglyphs are definitely not a destination, but if you're in the area already, they're work a look.

Getting There

Navigate to 37.593298, -111.218387.

This is the Egypt Trailhead, sometimes also called the Golden Cathedral Trailhead. From the trailhead, hike about 3 miles northeast to the bottom of Fence Canyon. There are no maintained trails, so navigation skills are required.

Story

While we were camped at Fence Canyon, I explored around and found these pictographs. Later, I convinced Tara to wander over so she could see them too.
