Hype:
Sunset Point offers vistas of some of the most famous and breathtaking of Bryce Canyons hoodoos. Directly below the point and to the south, the Silent City rises from the canyon floor, a maze of hoodoos and fins packed in tight formation. Just below the overlook on the northern edge, Thors Hammer stands alone. Striking in form due to its isolation from other hoodoos, Thors Hammer is a favorite among visitors.

We hiked the Figure-8 Combo, which is advertised as 6.4 miles and 4-5 hours. We started at Sunrise Point, hiked down the Queens Garden Trail, visited Queens Garden, hiked the Peekaboo Loop Trail clockwise, hiked up the Navajo Loop Trail, visited Sunset Point, then hiked the Rim Trail back to Sunrise Point. We passed several families with the parents carrying kids in backpacks and we commented to each other that we were glad to be hiking with just us. We stopped twice for about 15 minutes each time to take 360 video for the escape room. We also said hi to lots of people on the trail, especially those who were avoiding eye contact. The day was a little cool but the sun came out for a while and we hiked without jackets for at least half of the time.

We drove down to Sunset Point. We went to the overlook. Then we hiked along the Rim Trail to Sunrise Point. From there, we took the Queen's Garden trail down into the amphitheater. We took the Navajo Loop trail back out through Wall Street. It was a fun loop hike with awesome scenery.
