Park in the parking area to the east of the road.

Route

There are several different routes you can take depanding on how far you want to hike. Honestly, I didn't think the "cool cave" was that cool, so you're really not missing much if you take the shorter loop.

Story

I didn't realize it at the time, but I had a hole in my pocket, and as I was hiking to Cool Cave, my truck key fell out of my pocket. On the return hike, I saw a key half-buried in the dirt. I thought to myself, "Wow, someone lost their key! I wonder how long that has been there? Do you think they are people stranded at the parking lot with no way to get home, or has the keey been lost for months?" When I reached down to pick it up, it donned on me that the lost key was actually mine! On the whole 6.25-mile loop trail, there are only a couple places where the trail backtracks on itself. If my key had fallen out anywhere else along the trail, I would have had no chance of finding it. Perhaps someone else might have found it, but I consider myself very fortunate that I wasn't stranded with no truck for a day.

I really enjoyed the Panorama Trail. The scenery was great with several amazing points of interest along the way. The view from Panorama Point was spectacular. I stopped and ate lunch and joined a Zoom meeting from Panorama Point.
