Hype:
The Blue Mountain Interpretive Park is managed by the U.S. Forest Service and offers a half-mile, wheelchair-accessible interpretive loop. The Oregon Trail Interpretive Park at Blue Mountain Crossing is a combination interpretive trail and picnic area. Amenities include picnic tables, drinking water, and restrooms. Interpretive panels throughout the park help to tell the story. Living history re-enactments are periodically available on holidays. This is a great place for kids to stretch their legs and their minds.

Jeremy Dye, Tara Dye, Savannah Dye, Madilyn Dye, Cooper Dye,
We stopped at the Blue Mountain Interpretive Park on our way home from the Burnett reunion in Washington. Tara, Madi, and I walked the interpretive loop while the others waited at the car. I was a bit surprised by how overgrown the Oregon trail was. I guess I expected it to be maintained to look like it did back then rather than seeing it after 150 years of returning to nature.
