Hype:
Tucked into the rugged landscape of Utah’s San Rafael Swell, the Buckhorn Draw Dinosaur Footprint is a small glimpse into the area’s prehistoric past. The site has just a single, well-preserved track, but since it’s just a short walk off the main dirt road, it's worth the stop if you're in the area.
Many visitors pair the footprint with other nearby spots, like the San Rafael River Swinging Bridge or the Buckhorn Wash Pictograph Panel. The region’s remote feel makes it perfect for those who enjoy solitude, wide-open views, and night skies filled with stars, but you’ll need to come prepared, as there are few services nearby and roads can get rough.

Jeremy Dye, Tara Dye, Cooper Dye,
On Sunday morning, we double-checked to make sure the pharmacy would be open when we got there and discovered it was actually closed on Sundays. So instead, we drove down Buckhorn Wash Road. We drove down to Swinging Bridge and worked our way back up the road, stopping at various sites along the way.
