Hype:
Ghoul Gulch is an area of sandstone hoodoos in the San Rafael Swell that is fun to explore and photograph. Ghoul Gulch is similar to Goblin Valley with red sandstone pillars eroded from Entrada Sandstone, but it is much smaller, it's much harder to access, and it's much less crowded. Access requires a high clearance, 4WD vehicle. The area can be explored in an hour or two.

After Sorrel Mule Mine and Hamburger Rocks, we visited Ghoul Gulch. Madi was pretty tired by then, so she stayed near the start while the rest of us explored. We took more pictures and had a great time.
