We stopped at South Point after hiking to Green Sand Beach. We watched people cliff jumping (prohibited), saw the cool sea cave, and walked down the coast to the south point. We didn't realize that there had been so many archaeological digs there until we got home. We looked for the Heiau but couldn't find it until we pulled up satellite imagery at home. The land owners are considering creating an interpretive trail at south point, so we'll see what becomes of it.
