Hype:
Heritage and Science Park—often called "The Square"—is a four-block urban cultural hub in downtown Phoenix, blending 19th-century historic homes, interactive science exhibits, dining, and community events. At its core is Heritage Square, home to the restored 1895 Rosson House and several Victorian-era buildings now housing cafés, a gift shop, and Pizzeria Bianco. Adjacent sits the Arizona Science Center in a modern facility with hands-on galleries, a planetarium, and an IMAX theater. The pedestrian-friendly plaza—complete with a Lath House pavilion and rose garden—hosts monthly family activities, seasonal festivals, and private events, while public transit stops nearby and a parking garage offers validation. The park operates Wednesday through Sunday, with free park access and separate ticketing for the museum and house tours.

After visiting the Heard Museum, I went to the Rosson House Museum. The next tour wasn't until 1:00, so I had about 45 minutes to walk around heritage square and look at the different historic buildings. The Rosson House Museum tour was very fun and interesting. There were lots of similarities between that building and our property in Payson since they were built within 10 or 15 years of each other. The one in Phoenix was a lot fancier than ours.
