Overview

Hype:

The Rosson House Museum is a fully restored 1895 Queen Anne–style Victorian home located in downtown Phoenix’s Heritage and Science Park. Visitors can explore the house on guided tours that last about an hour and showcase original furnishings, detailed woodwork, and unique architectural features like transom windows and hidden doorways. Each room reflects the lifestyle of early Phoenix residents, including a kitchen, parlor, nursery, and doctor’s office. The home offers a glimpse into Phoenix’s transition from frontier town to modern city, and seasonal or themed tours, such as Victorian holiday celebrations or spiritualist evenings, provide added depth. The museum sits alongside other historic buildings, a visitor center, gardens, and a café, making it a well-rounded stop for cultural exploration.

Jeremy Dye,

Story

After visiting the Heard Museum, I went to the Rosson House Museum. The next tour wasn't until 1:00, so I had about 45 minutes to walk around heritage square and look at the different historic buildings. The Rosson House Museum tour was very fun and interesting. There were lots of similarities between that building and our property in Payson since they were built within 10 or 15 years of each other. The one in Phoenix was a lot fancier than ours.
