Hype:
The Provo River is one of the most scenic rivers in Utah County. Park in the parking lot just downstream of Deer Creek Reservoir and put in there. Finish at Vivian Park right before the bridge. You'll probably want to port around the railroad bridge just past the half-way point.

In preparation for ou rcanoe trip down Labyrinth Canyon, we took the Priests on a practice run down the Provo River. The weather turned a bit nasty and we got some pretty intense rain for part of it, but we had a great time.

We had a great time floating the river. My kayak sprung a leak, which I didn't realize until it got really full of water and tippy. When Cooper and I hit a small rapid, we tipped over. My cell phone, which was in my chest pouch, fell out and sank to the bottom. Tara's phone was in the same pouch, but it didn't fall out. Tara and I walked back upstream to look for it, but the water was too deep and swift to have any real chance of finding it.

We started at 10:40 right below the dam and finished at 12:40 at the takeout below Vivian Park.
A bunch of us floated the Provo River together on tubes for the 4th of July. Within the first half-hour, Anthony popped his tube, so he had to jump on with Alec. About an hour after that, they popped that tube too, and Anthony and Woolsey walked the rest of the way to the cars. The water was freezing cold! After floating for a while, we all grabbed hold of each others' tubes and floated together as a giant island of tubes. It was a lot of fun.

We canoed the Provo River several times with the Scouts and as a family. Pictures are quite scarce though.
