Hype:
Payson Lakes Campground is situated in stands of aspen and fir trees. There is a lake within the campground where you can boat, fish, and swim. An asphalt walkway goes around the lake. There are also nearby hiking trails and open areas where recreation activities can occur. The campground is just off a National Scenic Byway, about 12 miles from Payson. The campground has no hook-ups or phone service. Popular local activities include river and lake fishing, lake floating, rafting, kayaking, swimming, and day-hiking.Time:

Anthony and Arianne invited us to go camping with them. We had fun talking around the campfire then in the morning we took the canoes out on Big East Lake (one of Payson Lakes).
