Hype:
Grotto Falls Hike is an awesome hike for the whole family. The short trail takes you up to Grotto Falls, an incredible waterfall that spills over an undercut lip into a sheltered grotto. The trail crosses the stream several times, but there are log bridges you can use to keep from getting your shoes wet.
Trail Condition: Class 1 (Trail is either paved or gravel. Navigation skills are not needed because there is only one trail or because there are signs. Elevation gains are gradual or there are stairs.)
Time: 1-2 hours

We hiked up to Grotto Falls, and it was perfect. The trail was fairly crowded but not as bad as at other times. Savannah dared everyone to stand under the waterfall. We all eventually ran through the waterfall and it felt great. We dried out mostly on the hike down. Tara filmed a short video for the Payson rebranding scavenger hunt, and the kids played in the water under the bridge. I caried Madi and Cooper for most of the hike down just for fun.

We started hiking at 10:10 and finished at 11:00.
On our way home from our ward campout, we stopped and hiked up to Grotto Falls with the Parkers and Millers. The place was super crowded!

We heard about this hike from our next-door neighbors, and it didn't disappoint. We were hoping to get some good family pictures, but we didn't get there early enough before it got too dark and cold. But we still had fun. Anthony and I took the kids around up to the top of the waterfall.
