Hype:
The hike to Sugarloaf Mountain in Utah offers a rewarding adventure with stunning alpine views and a moderate challenge. Located in the Wasatch Range, this trail begins at Alta Ski Resort and climbs steadily to the summit at 11,051 feet. The route spans approximately 11 miles round trip, making it a full day hike for most hikers. Along the way, you'll encounter wildflowers in the summer and a mix of rocky and grassy terrain. From the summit, enjoy panoramic vistas of Little Cottonwood Canyon, nearby peaks, and even glimpses of Salt Lake Valley on clear days. While the trail's final stretch involves some scrambling, the breathtaking views at the top make the effort worthwhile.

Tara met up with Ondy and Marci and they hiked to three different mountain peaks. The first one was Mount Baldy, then they continued on to Sugarloaf. Then they went back to Mount Baldy on the way to Hidden Peak. Then they took the tram back down to the parking area.
