Hype:

Story

From there, we continued to the small town of Drei Annen Hohne, where we bought tickets for the narrow-gauge steam train to Brocken Peak. 

Unfortunately, we boarded the wrong train and rode 30 minutes in the opposite direction before correcting course.

The return trip turned out to be the last of the day, so we simply rode to the summit and back without disembarking. 

It was a nice leisurely three- or four-hour train ride round trip through beautiful countryside but with no particular destination. It was nice to get off our feet and sit on some soft chairs, and a few of us even slept a few winks.
