Hype:
Praestevang Forest Parkour Course is situated within Præstevang Forest, a well-known green area in the Capital Region of Denmark. The course uses natural and built obstacles to encourage parkour-style movement such as climbing, jumping, balancing, and navigating uneven terrain, making it appealing to both beginners and experienced practitioners.
The surrounding forest adds to the experience by providing scenic trails, lakes, and open woodland areas that are popular for walking, running, and general outdoor recreation. Visitors often combine time on the parkour course with other activities in the forest, creating a full outdoor day focused on both fitness and relaxation.
As an outdoor, weather-dependent attraction, the course is best enjoyed during milder months when the ground is dry and conditions are safe for movement. While the forest is accessible year-round, colder and wetter seasons can make the obstacles more challenging and less comfortable to use.

After the castle, we drove south a few minutes where they have some gardens and forest area. We hiked to Fantasiens Ø, which is also called the Island of Imagination. It’s where one of the kings had a little retreat next to a pond. The only thing left is a wall and foundation, but it looked fun and we enjoyed being in nature.
Along the trail, there were a bunch of brown things that looked like dog poop but ended up being snails. We named them the dog poop snails.
After viewing the ruins, we took some random trails through the forest looking for what was labeled as a parkour playground on the map. The map wasn’t very detailed, so it took some guessing, but we eventually found it and had fun jumping from logs and climbing over things.
