Hype:
Covent Garden Street Performers make up one of the most iconic traditions in central London, drawing crowds with their professional-level acts in the Piazza. Performances are typically scheduled and curated, ensuring a high standard of entertainment and a diverse rotation of talent. Visitors can expect everything from classical musicians beneath the Market Building’s acoustics to bold acrobatic or comedic acts on the West Piazza.
These performers operate within a licensed system managed by the local council, which helps maintain crowd control and ensures safety, quality, and fairness among artists. Shows usually run throughout the day, with weekends and holidays being the busiest times. The combination of architecture, atmosphere, and talent creates a street-theatre experience unlike anywhere else in the city.
Whether you’re stopping for a full show or just passing through, Covent Garden’s buskers contribute significantly to the neighborhood’s charm. They add spontaneity, energy, and culture to the area, making it a memorable stop for tourists and locals alike.

From there, we headed toward Covent Garden, an outdoor shopping and dining area with street performers.
On the way, we stopped for pizza in the West End.
At Covent Garden, we watched a street juggler. I got pulled from the audience to throw knives to the juggler while he balanced on a board.
We bought a couple slices of cake for dessert then took the Tube and bus back to the hotel.
