LEGO House is located in the hometown of the LEGO Group, Billund, and serves as a central attraction for fans and families interested in creativity and play. The building itself is architecturally iconic, resembling stacked LEGO bricks, and acts as both a museum and a play space rather than a traditional exhibition hall.
Inside, LEGO House is divided into color-coded experience zones that focus on creativity, logic, storytelling, and social play. Visitors can build, experiment, and interact with digital and physical installations, including a vast collection of LEGO models and the Masterpiece Gallery, which showcases fan creations from around the world.
Beyond play, LEGO House emphasizes learning and imagination, blending education with entertainment. It also includes a LEGO Store, restaurants themed around LEGO concepts, and areas designed for both children and adults, making it a full-day destination rather than a short stop.

Jeremy Dye, Tara Dye, Savannah Dye, Madilyn Dye, Cooper Dye,
Friday, July 18 – We checked out of our bed and breakfast and drove north to Billund, which is where the main headquarters for LEGO are. It is now a bit of a resort town with multiple theme parks and other touristy attractions. On Friday, we spent most of the day at LEGO House.
At the stack of giant of blocks in front of the building, Cooper fell off and hurt his knee. Great start.
Inside, we went downstairs first to their history museum, where we learned about the founding of the company, how they started off making wooden toys, and how they ended up shifting to the LEGO bricks that we know now.
In the center room, they had some interactive screens where you could select all the LEGO sets that you own. Savannah spent quite a bit of time compiling her list.
In the main part of the house, they have a bunch of really big LEGO sculptures. There’s a giant tree that’s multiple stories tall in the middle, and they have some dinosaurs upstairs and a bunch of mountain scenes and other things throughout the building.
They also have a bunch of creative builds that different LEGO enthusiasts have submitted.
We bounced around to the different areas, each one with a different collection of LEGO bricks and an objective for something you’re supposed to build. In the free build area, we built a rainbow.
Then we built vacation animals. That was a lot of fun.
We went up to the balcony for lunch and played on the playground to get away from the noise and enjoy the fresh air for a bit.
Then we went back inside and built race cars to go down a ramp and race each other. That was fun except that there were a million kids who kept cutting in line, and it was hard to get a turn to put your car on the track.
Madi and Cooper were pretty tired and grumpy by that point and wanted to go home, but we told them the rest of us weren’t ready yet.
We played a video game where you could control robots and make them plant flowers for the bees to pollinate. That was fun except that the kids were very competitive, and everyone who didn’t have the most flowers was upset.
The last thing we did was build patterns on a square grid, then scan them into the computer where they got animated into dancing LEGO people.
